Guided walk with CREW Trust through our newest trail system, Flint Pen Strand.
The newest CREW trails to the watershed welcomes you with wide open lakes, the Kehl canal - headwaters of the Imperial River, and wildlife of all shapes and sizes. This is the trail system where you will witness habitat restoration in action, so join our CREW Trust volunteers on an interpretive guided excursion and come back often to see it first-hand! This 2.5-hour (1.5 mile) hike is offered from 9:00 am - 11:30 am every Thursday from November through April.
Difficulty: 2/5
Hikes will cover around 1.5 miles of uneven ground from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.. Please join a little early, if possible, between 8:45 and 9:00 so that everyone is set for a 9:00 start.
Requirements for Participants:
Limited to 12 hikers. Only service animals allowed.
If you cannot attend the hike, please use your registration receipt (emailed upon purchase from Eventbrite) to request a cancellation at least 72 hours before the walk is scheduled.
Donations to the CREW Trust are greatly appreciated on the day of the hike or online at http://www.crewtrust.org.

This guided walk is for ages 12 and above.
What are the parking/facilities like at the trails?
There is a gravel parking lot at the Main trailhead. There is one portable restroom at the trailhead.
What are the trails like?
The trails vary from sandy with pine needles to winding with some elevation change. Expect seasonally wet/muddy places on the trails during the wet season (July - December).
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes. You may give your spot to someone else. Be sure to change the information on your registration page accessible through your email receipt.
Can I cancel my ticket(s)?
You may cancel your ticket(s) up to 72 hours prior to the event.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes, you may update your registration information up to 24 hours before the event.
Do I have to bring a printed ticket to the event?
No. We do not issue print tickets. Simply check in with the event leader at the time of the event.
Can I bring my dog?
This is not a dog-friendly event, unless the dog is a service animal.
