Description

A self-described “Jersey Shore Ex-Pat turned West Texas Desert Rat”, Hank Woji played bass for over 20 years with many of New Jersey's most dynamic and innovative bands.

Event Details

In the Spring of 2001, Hank hooked up with a bunch of great Texas songwriters in Houston and found his new musical voice as a singer-songwriter. But destiny turned a page and in 2009, Hank moved to the West Texas desert town of Terlingua and his musical future changed forever.
Critics describe Hank’s music as “acoustic-wielding, sharply observed, Americana all the way” and being “in the best tradition of the Texas troubadours like Guy Clarke, Townes Van Zandt, and Butch Hancock” and that “His troubadour style also comes very close to the style of Woody Guthrie or Pete Seeger, or as we heard on ‘Nebraska’ from Bruce Springsteen”
Since 2005, Hank released five self-produced CDs: Medallion, American Dreams, There Was A Time, Holy Ghost Town and The Working Life. He also produced, Just Words by Eileen Kozloff, released in 2017
Hank tours nationally, performing regularly at festivals, coffeehouses, theaters, clubs and house concerts as a solo singer-songwriter as well as a duo with singer-songwriter Eileen Kozloff.
