Event Details

She’s drawn to the people who lived and worked in Sarasota and focused on this town’s best interests: Owen Burns, Bertha Palmer, Marie Selby, Charles and Charlotte Abbe, Harry Higel, Katherine and Daisetta McClellan to name just a few. The exhibit runs from Saturday, September 25 through Friday, October 29. The public is invited to the First Friday reception on October 1 from 6-9 PM.

On Sunday, Oct. 3 from 1-3 PM Dr. Frank Cassell will conduct a public dialogue at the Art Uptown Gallery. Dr. Cassell is the author of Suncoast Empire - Bertha Honoré Palmer, Her Family, and the Rise of Sarasota and Creating Sarasota County.
