The Dog Days of Summer

If you have a dog as part of your family, you’ll all love this event. On June 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., take your fur baby down to The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime to visit new local friends. They’ll get to play with other pups, and you’ll get to enjoy the food trucks with food and drinks for you. See what local resources there are for your pet, and bring donations of pet supplies. If you want to get something to donate at the event, they will match your donation.

73º Flea Indie Market

Head over to JDub's Brewing Company & Tap Room on June 22 to shop in the warm Sarasota twilight. This event welcomes the entire family, including furbabies, to enjoy live music and shopping. See what local Sarasota artists and vendors have to offer from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Food trucks will be available to purchase food and drinks throughout the night.

Off The Charts!

Florida Studio Theatre is hosting a live performance of Off The Charts! on June 22. Beginning at 11 a.m., family and friends of all generations will enjoy an hour of traveling through time through music. You’ll hear old favorites like “Hound Dog” and new favorites like “Uptown Funk” as they play songs that have topped the charts over the years.

Beach Market at Coquina Beach

Nothing is better than spending a weekend on a Sarasota beach until you combine it with shopping. On June 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., walk along Coquina Beach and check out what local vendors have to offer. Featuring handmade items such as clothing, jewelry, soaps, artwork, and fresh produce, this market is sure to have just what you’re looking for.

2019 Annual Caribbean American Month Celebration

The Caribbean comes to Port Charlotte on June 23 beginning at 2 p.m. Caribbean music, art, dance, food, and more will fill North Charlotte Regional Park until 7 p.m. to celebrate Caribbean Heritage Month. Bring the whole family out to have fun and experience a wonderful culture full of color and spirit.

Reggae Sunday Funday at The Angry Rooster

The Angry Rooster Wing Company in Bradenton will welcome a local award-winning band, JAH Movement to its establishment on June 23 from 2 to 5 p.m. Listen to reggae music all afternoon long. Get the full experience by purchasing delicious food and drinks from the menu.

Drag Bingo at Purple Rhino

If you are part of or simply support the LGBT community of Sarasota, head out to the Purple Rhino Lodge from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on June 23. Enjoy a twist on a traditional game of Bingo and visit with other locals who support the same community as you.
