Wodapalooza Miami

Do people label you a fitness guru? Are you in the gym multiple times a week? If so, you should plan to attend the Wadapalooza Miami this weekend. Opening in Bayfront Park on January 17 at 8 a.m., this event lasts through January 20 at 10 p.m. The WZA Miami Crossfit Festival combines fitness and fun in an awesome family-friendly festival that will bring athletes and brands from all over the world to Sarasota.

Sarasota Winter Carnival

Take the family the The Mall at University Town Center any time from January 17 at 5 p.m. to January 21 at 8 p.m. for a carnival for all ages this weekend. Celebrate winter in true Florida fashion by enjoying the sun, rides, games, and so much more. It’s free to park and visit, and unlimited ride wristbands are $25 the first night of the event. Friday through Monday, the price for wristbands is $30.

4th Annual Sarasota Seafood & Music Festival  

This festival is a true celebration of living in Sarasota by bringing local ingredients, local cuisine, and local musicians all to Downtown Sarasota on Gulf Stream. The event takes place this weekend on January 18 from 4-10 p.m, January 19 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and again January 20 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. You won’t want to miss the freshly-cooked seafood, drinks, and live performances this weekend. Admission is free unless you want the VIP tent seating, which includes an open bar and service staff for $75.

Annual Sarasota Native American Indian Festival

This festival brings an important and historical culture to Sarasota this weekend from January18 at 11 a.m. to January 20 at 5 p.m. Celebrating Native Americans, this event will feature traditional Native American art, music, and dancing. Native American storytelling and food will also be featured along with much more. Come out to the Sarasota Fairgrounds for entertaining and education family fun!

Taste of St. Armands

This weekend, St. Armands Circle will showcase all of the things Sarasota locals love about the area including the shops, art galleries, and restaurants you won’t find anywhere else. On January 19 from 5-8 p.m., walk the park and enjoy music, shopping, wine, and delightful food throughout the night. Tickets are $85, and there will be fundraising activities throughout the night to benefit local charities and the community.

Sarasota Winter Carnival & Bazaar

It’s still winter in Florida, and it’s time to celebrate with a winter wonderland! Visit Westfield Sarasota Square on January 19 and 20 for a great family event this weekend. You and the kids can get creative at the art stations, enjoy sweet treats, and support charity by participating in the Polar Bear Plunge. Don’t forget to stop by the photo booth to capture those sweet memories!

Manatee County Fair 

If you’re looking for a good hometown fair the way you remember them from your childhood, look no further. The Manatee County Fair is back in town! Opening up at the fairgrounds in Palmetto on January 17, enjoy traditional fair food, carnival rides, and games. If that’s not enough, visit the animals or attend one of the demonstrations for even more fun.

Children under 5 years old get in free. Admission for six to 12 year olds is $6, and attendees over 13 get in for $9 with special pricing for seniors and military families. If you can't go this weekend, don’t worry! The fair will run through January 27.
