Safari Sarasota: Interactive Cooking Dinner

Michael's On East is hosting a delicious African-themed dinner on October 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. This unique experience will feature South African wines and foods for your taste buds to savor. You’ll also be contributing to a fundraiser for the All Heart Fund which is a Sarasota-based charity that helps deliver technology to South African students to aid in their education.

Tropiflora's 19th Annual Fall Festival

Beginning at 8:00 a.m. on October 25, Tropiflora in Sarasota will be open for their festival. Lasting through October 27 at 3:00 p.m., this three-day event invites vendors from all over the state of Florida to bring plants and garden art. You’ll be able to view plants and art in an entirely different way. Bring the family out to gain a deeper understanding of the natural world.

Fruitville Grove Pumpkin Festival

This is the final weekend for this beloved festival. So, take your family out to this amazing, free event on October 26 and 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m at Fruitville Grove Farm Market. With music, shows, and children’s activities, there’s something for every member of your family to enjoy. There will also be Sarasota food trucks so that you can taste cuisine from around the world.

Super Cool Slime Lab

If your children need something to keep their hands busy or if they just like to play with slime, take them over to Children's World on October 26 for a fun day of slime-making. Slime kits will be discounted, and the kids can make them right in the store. So, there won’t be any mess for you to clean up. They can make it glittery or glow-in-the-dark, whatever their creative minds can think up.

Oktoberfest 2 at Lucky Frog Restaurant!

The Lucky Frog Restaurant in Bradenton is hosting its own party on October 26 to celebrate October. Petra and Teresa will provide traditional German folk music for you to listen to while you enjoy a meal cooked by a Bavarian chef. With a beer stein contest on the itinerary, this will be an Oktoberfest you don’t want to miss.

Join other Sarasota locals at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens on October 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Give those costumes a trial run at this event. There will be trick-or-treating, educational activities, and just a little bit of spook. Children should bring their own candy collection bags.

Bill's Bear Run 2019

The Venice community has a great opportunity for athletes to raise money and have fun. On October 27 starting at 8:00 a.m. at North Jetty Park, you can participate in a five-mile run through the beautiful Florida surroundings. Proceeds will go to the Manasota Track Club to fund scholarships for college and youth running programs.  Stick around after the race for delicious food and drinks, music, and prizes.
