It’s nearly mid-July, which means the kids are probably roaming through the house bored because they’ve finished their summer to-do list. Whether you need to get the whole family out of the house or just need a night away, Sarasota has an event that will make your weekend everything you hope for it to be.

11th Annual Sarasota Improv Festival

If you love to laugh, you’ll want to head over to the Florida Studio Theatre on July 12. From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., you’ll be able to laugh along with other Sarasota locals as 25 improv performers show you their craft. Come out and laugh your way into the weekend.

Summer Art Market 2019

Are you looking for a perfect piece for that blank space on your wall? Maybe you’re looking for something different to do with your family. Either way, you’ll be pleased to attend this year’s Summer Art Market at the Englewood Art Center . On July 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., bring the family out to Englewood to see the art vendors, enjoy lunch at the food truck, and listen to live music by The Neptunes. There will also be art demonstrations and opportunities for the kids to create.

Parent & Child Fun Night

This free event is fun for the entire family. From 5 to 7 p.m. on July 12, your family can spend quality time together swimming in the pool. The Arlington Park & Aquatic Complex are hosting the event. Pre-registration is required. Wynn Taylor in the Garden

The Mandeville Beer Garden welcomes back Wynn Taylor for a return performance. On July 12 beginning at 7 p.m. , head over to the garden where music and craft beer collide to bring a wonderful experience to Sarasota residents.  If you like to rock out to the radio, you’ll enjoy the musical stylings of Wynn Taylor.

ROAR! Summer 2019

If your young children are already complaining of summertime boredom, bring them out to The Ringling on July 11 for some brain stimulation. From 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., your toddlers and preschoolers will find themselves engaged in story time and an art-related craft. Advanced registration is recommended to ensure your child’s spot to this free event. So, register now, and you’ll also receive two adult admissions per child to the museum.

Enjoy some quality family time or just some quality time for yourself at one of these amazing Sarasota events. Whether you’re into art, music, comedy, or time with your family, this weekend has it all. Add any of these events to your weekend plans, and take advantage of what Sarasota has to offer.
