It’s Valentine’s Day weekend, and Sarasota is showing the love with some great events you can attend! If you don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, don’t worry! There are some amazing events that have nothing to do with the holiday, too.

St. Valentine's Day

If you still haven’t solidified your Valentine’s Day plans, the Element has made it easy. Come celebrate with them on Thursday, February 14 4:30-10 p.m. Conveniently located on Main Street in Sarasota, this restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner for two. For just $75 per guest for dinner, you’ll have options such as mascarpone ravioli, pan seared scallops, lobster, and more.

A Many Splendored Thing

Looking for an experience you can share with the one you love? Sarasota Orchestra is putting on a romantic concert on February 14 7:30-9:30 p.m. You’ll love hearing all of your favorite classic love songs in this celebration of romance!

Valentine's Day Beer and Chocolate Pairings

If your loved one loves chocolate and beer, this is the perfect event for you two! JDub's Brewing Company & Tap Room is hosting a Valentine’s Day celebration of their own on February 14 7-9 p.m. You’ll be able to sample cheese, chocolates, and beer at Sarasota’s favorite brewing company. Best of all: it’s just $30 per person or $50 for two!

Thunder By The Bay Music & Motorcycle Festival

Starting on Friday, February 15 at 6 p.m. and continuing through the weekend, Thunder by the Bay will once again be at the Sarasota Fairgrounds. Come out and enjoy the truck show, bike show, burnout competition, and food. This incredible event will have live music throughout the weekend.

Sarasota Opera presents The magic flute by W. A. Mozart

The historic Sarasota Opera house will tell the story of The Magic Flute through song on February 16 and 17. This timeless tale includes a hero’s journey, a story of friendship, and a little bit of magic. Make sure you stay to the end because all may not be as it appears!

Stomp

If you’re looking for an entirely different way to experience music, head to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Sunday, February 17 3-7 p.m. Stomp will perform with excitement and creativity using everyday objects including brooms, garbage cans, and lighters as well as other odds and ends. Check out their special talent at turning ordinary noise into extraordinary sounds!

Valentines Concert

Can’t celebrate on Valentine’s Day? No worries. The Allegro Music, Dance and Etiquette Academy will hold a special Valentine’s Concert on February 17 3-6 p.m. Take your loved one to enjoy love songs and romance performed by professional musicians. Refreshments will follow the show, and it’s free to enjoy!
