Dance band, Big Night Out will perform tropical style music at Sarasota Sky on June 7 from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. Blending musical styles from Latin, Caribbean, Funk, and Motown culture, you won’t be able to keep your feet off the dance floor. For just $10, enjoy the lively passion this band brings to the stage, and enjoy one free drink with admission.

June Artwalk: Walk on the Wild Side

With preserves, lakes, and sandy beaches, there are a lot of beautiful places to take a walk in Bradenton, and the Village of the Arts is just another gorgeous location. Every month, the artists who frequent this colorful neighborhood welcome locals for an Artwalk. Listen to live music, enjoy the art galleries, and visit the specialty shops on June 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. or June 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Annual St. Armands Circle Craft Festival & Summer Sidewalk Sale

Do you scrounge art fests, craft fairs, and yard sales for that perfect piece of unique handcrafted masterpiece for your home? Then, you can’t miss this weekend at St. Armands Circle. On June 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., you’ll be able to along the sidewalks and find crafts made from local artisans as well as favorite items from the shops around the circle. Summer Fest

If you’re looking for a place to have a good time and support your community, head out to Music Compound on June 8 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. With a fundraising goal of $10,000 to benefit The Child Protection Center, your attendance is needed! The festival will include live music, beer samples from JDubs, and goodies from Gigi’s, Kona Ice, and Wicked Cupcake. Only a $5 donation will get you in the door, but donate even more by participating in the silent auction.

AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS

FSU Center for the Performing Arts is hosting a family experience for ages seven and up. Eight actors will take on the personalities of 109 characters as they travel around the world in 80 days beginning right here in Sarasota. On June 8 starting at 2 p.m., you’ll get the opportunity to experience this journey with them as they encounter romance, danger, and the unexpected.

World Oceans Day Family Festival

If you’re local to Sarasota, you understand the importance of the oceans and all the wonderful life that fills them. Beginning at 10 a.m. on June 8, Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium invites you to join them in celebrating World Oceans Day. Admission to the event costs no more than regular admission to the Mote Aquarium, or if you’re a member, admission is free! This is an event the whole family will enjoy.

Food Truck Rally & Fishing Market

All your favorite food trucks will be in one convenient Sarasota location for you on June 8 beginning at 3 p.m. Visit Big Top Brewing Company and taste Cajun cuisine from Bayou Table, juice barbeque from Smokin Momma Lora's BBQ Mobile, sweets from Sweet Niche Baking Company, and many more! Kettle of Fish will perform live music starting at 7 p.m. There will also be a casting game, free face painting, and more activities for you to enjoy.
