McCurdy's Comedy Theatre & Humor Institute features the very best comedy performances and training in America. The Theatre provides weekly comedy entertainment featuring the best nationally touring stand up comedians in the world many of whom are well known national and international celebrities. Shows are generally Wed. through Sun. each night at 7:00 p.m. with added late shows on Fri. and Sat. at 9:15 p.m. Special shows are added to the schedule on a regular basis at other times during the week. The headline comedians and regular host Les McCurdy are featured most every Fri. morning on the local #1 morning radio show Jones & Crane 107.9 WSRZ and have been for over 20 years. The Theatre YouTube Channel features the only live program featuring an intimate interview with weekly headliners immediatly after a performance in front of the Theatre audience who is a part of the interview. The Theatre is available for fundraising events for any worthy charity and hosts dozens of these events every year. The Theatre serves the Sarasota/Bradenton area in a variety of charitable ways in and out of the Theatre walls. The Humor Institute is the training wing of the Theatre with ongoing comedy classes for adults, children, teens, and adults with special needs.
