Description
30 Years ago Jim and Melissa Palermo started The Broken Egg on Siesta Key at the original Avenida Messina site it was small but a true Sarasota gem. Moved down the street to a larger store, then Jim and Mel did some fantastic school lunches at The Out of Door Academy on siesta key as well where there kids went to school. Then there was The Serving Spoon on Osprey Ave and that only flourished. The Palermo's family was also expanding. They had Edward and then Jim got the itch again and decided to take us up to Vermont for 9 long cold years, but Jim's family was up there so it was well worth the cold for the amazing connections that were made that are lifelong. Funny thing is the amount of people in Vermont who visit our little beach town and have been for a number of years. Thank you for everyone who has followed us from the original Egg, to the Spoon, and here at The Oasis Cafe. Thank you for your patronage.Frequently Asked Questions
