2011 Kids Rock Festival

Description

At the Kids Rock Fest we want to inspire creativity and inspiration in both our guest and ourselves, at the same time to speak "up" to the intelligence of our guest and merchants while reaching "in" to their childlike innocence. To create a special kind of festival unique to Sarasota and Manatee County, a place where people continually learn and grow and treat each other with just a little more consideration than is usually evident out in the "real world." We want to recombine influences to create something new and beneficial to the children in need. The basic mission and values of the Kids Rock Festival have transferred remarkably well to an educational setting, where creativity is cherished and encouraged and where children fall in love with the joy of learning and play. We want to create a healthy, warm, safe, nurturing environment where community is paramount, and where children's interactions between each other is just as important as the community working together. It will be the kind of educational event we wish we'd had for ourselves and dreamed we'd have for our children; a place where people feel like there is genuinely no better place to learn and gather information about their community and raise money for children in need.
