The Ellenton Outlets is one of my favorite malls and is not far from where I live in the Tampa area as well. Nothing beats having an open air outdoor mall for shopping! Plenty of great stores, decent food court and conveniently located just off of I-75.
Pros:
The outdoor shopping experience the open air mall provides. A variety of good stores and located just off the highway.
Cons:
The parking can be rough like any mall during holiday times but usually you can find parking in the parking lot to the back right when entering the mall.

I actually went to the Mote Marine Laboratory when my fiance and I were looking for places to have our wedding. Although we ended up having our wedding somewhere else, they did have some great offerings. The Aquarium was small but they seem to do quite a lot for the Gulf Coast wildlife. I recommend checking it out if you are in the area.

Friendly staff, one of the best things to do in the Sarasota and Bradenton area for tourists.
