Description
ABOUT THE ARTIST & SHOW: Michigan native, Andy Proctor, grew up listening to the best of Motown and Detroit guitar rock 'n roll from the likes of Bob Seger, MC5, Alice Cooper, and of course, Grand Funk Railroad.
Event Details
Proctor played and rocked the local Bay City Michigan Bar and Holiday Inn circuit through his early 20’s. Following a 40-year musical hiatus to fashion a career and have a family, Andy now makes his home in Venice Florida.
According to Proctor, “I’m writing lots of really good tunes, singing, and playing acoustic guitar again (and loving it)! I write songs that bridge multiple musical genres. Recently I've been inspired to craft lyrics about life and love for 60-something Florida baby boomers like myself. But in my heart of hearts, I’m still a rocker and a lover of the idyllic three-minute pop song! Rock on my Friends!"
Having entertained audiences at local open mic events, Andy makes his concert debut at Common Grounds, April 2019 He will be performing a variety of original music along with a few very well-known classics that will resonate with all Baby Boomers.
Andy will be joined throughout the evening by a few friends including percussionist Andy Browne, blues harpist Roman Chicago, and Ric Saint Germain on lead guitar. And a show like this would not be complete without some great support from singer-songwriter Brenna Larson.
