So plan to bring your favorite carry-out or prepared dinner (sushi? barbecue?) and enjoy it with our first bottle of wine for the evening. We'll spend the first hour or so having a bite to eat and getting to know one another. Think of the Bacchus Group as your monthly wine social group!MEMBER DISCOUNT: All attendees will receive a 5% DISCOUNT on all bottle purchases and spirits tastings. Discount valid on the night of the event only, and only to attendees who pay the $20 event fee.TASTING AND DISCUSSION (after the SOCIAL HOUR): Let's taste some great wines! Depending on the number of attendees, we will taste up to six wines and have some bread and cheese to accompany the wines. Island Time Spirits will be our venue in Venice for our monthly meetings on the last Tuesday of the month.• What to bringBring your friends! $20 cash per person will cover the cost of the bottle(s) we open, plus the bread and cheese. Any left over open bottles will be up for grabs at the end. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own wine glass(es). I have a set of three Riedel tasting glasses that I like to bring to tastings. Aerators are welcome as well!• Important to know$20 per person (or more, if attendees want to taste some expensive wines), plus a one-time $20 lifetime membership fee payable after you've attended a few meetings and decide to join the club. The membership fee will cover the administrative costs and other miscellaneous costs for drop stops, openers, glasses and so forth. Please DO NOT check in with the cashier when you arrive.
