The Grill at 1951 is a new restaurant in the Port Charlotte area. David Eger purchased JD’s Bistro and Grill in December of 2019. The focus of The Grill at 1951 will be on bringing the basics back with excellent food and great service. The menu is well rounded with great cuts of Angus beef, fresh seafood and rich pasta dishes. Prices are less than or equal to the ‘big house franchises’, but there is just no comparison in the quality.
The ambiance is casual fine dining and dinner is served seven nights a week. The dinner menu has a wide selection of appetizers, soups and salads as well as steaks, chops, pasta and seafood. The Grill at 1951 has added small plate options in addition to the regular size dinners for those who would like to try a few items at a time or just want a smaller portion for dinner. The Grill at 1951 is a casual dining experience with a full service bar, televisions that display art and also news and sporting events. We believe it’s worth the trip over the bridge from Punta Gorda or coming south from Sarasota and we strive to be a destination everyone will be talking about as a must in this area.
