THIS IS A 2-DAY EVENT! Water School 2018 will take place on July 26-27,2018.
Event Details
On July 26, a variety of speakers will deliver educational presentations on the state of Manatee County’s water resources, any emerging and current issues facing this natural resource, and the future challenges of preserving this resource for subsequent generations. Topics may include:
Water Supply: Past & Present
Water Quality Issues: Perspectives
Development with Water in Mind
Working Water Fronts
Water in Manatee County from Rural to Urban
Ag Water Best Management practices
July 27th will include a bus tour that highlights a variety of water resources and will provide participants with a firsthand look at the topics discussed on the previous day. A portion of the tour will include a pontoon boat tour to learn about waterfront development, golf courses, and plants as they relate to water quality/quantity.
Class fee covers materials, lunch, refreshments, pontoon tour, and bus trip for each participant.
