Bonsai 100 Bonsai is a Japanese art form, practiced over centuries, using cultivation techniques to produce small trees in containers that mimic the shape and scale of full size trees.
Event Details
In this hands-on signature class, Carrie Ebingert will teach you the about the basics of the art of Bonsai.
For beginners, this 2.5 hour course will cover:
* The history and over view of this ancient art form.
* Techniques of Bonsai - leaf trimming, wiring, pruning, etc
* Bonsai Care - watering, repotting, tools, soil, fertilizing, proper placement etc.
* Review the different container options and their purpose.
* Discuss the different Bonsai styles.
In addition attendees will be planting thier own Bonsai dish.
All materials (pre-trained bonsai tree, bonsai container, and soil) will be provided for this clas.
Your Ticket Includes:
2.5 hours of instruction and hands–on studio time, in a small group setting.
Basic knowledge of Bonsai - history, technique, care, containers, and design sytle options.
Class notes for review after the class.
Make-N-Take: hands-on creatiion of personal Bonsai dish.
Use of assembly tools.
Care & assembly instructions to maintain & recreate this project
Ages 15 to adult welcomed
Ticket is non-refundable.
