Set in Florida in 1929 in a Cuban–American cigar factory, where cigars are still rolled by hand and "lectors" are employed to educate and entertain the workers. The arrival of a new lector is a cause for celebration, but when he begins to read aloud from Anna Karenina, he becomes a catalyst in the lives of his listeners

All auditions are held at the Manatee Performing Arts Center, 502 Third Avenue W unless otherwise announced. Actors audition in the order they arrive. Those auditioning for the musicals should prepare a song in their key and be ready for any movement portion of the audition that the director may require. Anyone being called back will be notified that night of callback time and date. Not being called back does NOT mean that you are not being considered for a role.
