Although adults look forward to Christmas for a day off from work and to spend time with family, children want presents, more presents and of course a visit with jolly ole' Santa Claus!  Before planning a trip to travel to the North Pole, Santa Claus is coming to town for some fun in the sun. Get ready to mark your calendars for Christmas Events in Bradenton & Sarasota including these events of where to see Santa Claus in Sarasota.

Holiday Night on St. Armands - Come out to St. Armand's Circle on Friday, December 1st for a Holiday celebration. The evening will kick off with a special holiday performance at 5:30 p.m., followed by the annual Christmas carol sing-a-long beginning at 6:00 p.m., then Santa will arrive on his sleigh! 

Breakfast with Santa - Bring your kids to Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 2nd for pancakes, photos, and holiday cheer! All children are welcome to take part in this free event taking place at Venice YMCA from 8-10 a.m.

22nd Annual Sarasota Holiday Parade - This annual celebration takes place on the first Saturday evening of December in Downtown Sarasota. Join thousands of participants and viewers at 7 p.m. to see the decorated floats, live marching bands, and the guest of honor himself, Santa. 

Holidays Around The Ranch - Celebrate the holidays with this free, family-friendly event featuring a tree lighting, crafts in Santa's workshop, ice skating, and children's dance and music groups from 6-9 p.m.  This all takes place before the arrival of Santa on a mesmerizing white horse-drawn carriage! 

Anna Maria Island Privateers Christmas Parade - This free holiday parade on Saturday, December 9th from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will stretch for the entire length of the island. At Coquina Beach, Santa will board "Skullywag", the Privateer's Flagship, for the kids to sit on his lap. 

A Night Before Christmas - Manatee Island's annual event taking place on Saturday, December 9th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. features Santa visiting G.T. Bray Park to meet with children. There will be face painting, bounce houses, snow, hayrides, and much more! Kids of all ages are welcome.

Venice Holiday Tree Lighting - This annual ceremony has live music, crafts for the kids, and an appearance of Santa to celebrate music, lights, and community spirit. The festivities will run from 5-7 p.m. with the tree lighting beginning at 6 p.m. 

Tree Lighting & Poinsettia Festival - The annual, family-friendly Poinsettia Parade has tons of events. Poinsettia floats, decorated vehicles, and walking groups will travel down Sylvania Avenue at 5 p.m. The celebration will continue with live entertainment by rock 'n' roll band Stone Krow and local school choirs. Santa will be available on the first floor of City Hall. 

An Afternoon with Santa - Join Santa and his Christmas friends on Sunday, December 17th or Saturday, December 23rd for a jolly time of food and celebration at the Powel Crosley Estate. There will be a hot cocoa bar with traditional Christmas food while children can decorate Christmas cookies and play reindeer games with elves. Santa will arrive at 11:45 a.m. to read Christmas stories. Tickets cost $32 per adult and $17 per child ages 3 to 12 and includes lunch.
